Two weeks to end of STD of Majory Surgery - Not ready

I'm not even close to being ready to go back to work in two weeks.
Still on soft and liquid food. Everytime I try something hard, like
meat
the pain is incredible. I have had quite a few operations and have been
bouncing back under 6 weeks. My doc on this last operation extended it
two more weeks out and I still don't think I am close to be ready.
I don't know what to do. .. . Any ideas on a legal engerizer over the
counter I can purchase? I use some ginseng. Sometimes it works and
other
times it dosen't.
I'm open to suggestions and also listening to anyone else who is feeling
blue about their current medical status.
