Peggy, I looked for your original message, "Hello", but I could not find it. I checked the December Archives and it was not there either; but while checking your messages in the December Archives, I was reminded that you have been having problems with endometriosis.

I wouldn't surprise me if this isn't what is still giving you so many problems with pain, etc. As you know,I am not a medical professional; but I have read quite a bit about endometriosis to know that your best chance of fighting this disease/disorder is to seek out a surgeon who is known for his success with surgery for endometriosis - a surgeon who specializes in the surgical procedure known as: excisional surgical therapy.

If you are from the Seattle area - as I understood from one of your messages which is stored in the IAS ARCHIVES - the best endometriosis specialist nearest where you live is Dr. David Redwine, who is located at Bend, Oregon. I know this is not very close to where you live; but sometimes we have to reach out for the very best endometriosis specialist there is in order to have the best chance for recovery!! Please go to this web site: http://www.scmc.org/endo.html to learn more about endometriosis and Dr. David Redwine.

Now, you may be in a managed care program - but I think that there are ways to "fight your HMO" in order to receive surgical care from a specialist, such as Dr. Redwine. If my memory serves me correctly,Mary Halm was able to do this. Unfortunately, I just looked at her web site - http://www.bright.net/~ewp/fight_your_hmo.html and it says: "Sorry! This website is no longer active." I will try to send this entire web page to the forum so that others can read it.

I hope that you have found something within the web sites, which I have given here, that will "turn on a light" for you and be able to help you.

>Oh honey!!!  I am so sorry you are in a really bad place right now.  Trust me, we ALL have been through it (or are going through it right now) and we are here ANYTIME you need us!!!  I just wish I had the internet at home, then you all could write whenever you needed to and I could respond back right away.  When I make that a reality, I will let all of you know.  Now, I wanted to ask if your dr. would be willing to give you a morphine pump that gives you measured doses on a 24-hr period.  You go back I believe once a month.  You all should check it out and see what you find.  I have to run now but I wanted to first thank you for all the info you just gave and, I want you to feel free with your emotions; after all, we are in this together until the end.  Sometimes you can only tell certain problems in your life to certain people in which case, feel free to ask us questions or just to shake your fists and holler out WHY?   Take care and I will talk to you again soon!!!  My the Lord watch between me and thee, while we are absent, one from the other, Amen.
