Dear Joyce...

If you could find another NSAID to take with the vicoprofen like Aleve (naprosyn) or Orudis KT (ketoprofen) that doesn't upset your stomach; or if you can take ibuprofen with the vicoprofen that will probably help, because the narcotic in the vicoprofen gives the ibuprofen or other NSAID a kick. It also helps to take Maalox or Mylanta with the ibuprofen to buffer the stomach. (This tip from my GI).
