Linda,

It does seem that most information you find on the Internet regarding the pancreas is cancer related. But, not everything dealing with the pancreas is cancer. Your doctor should have discussed the probability of getting pancreatitis with the ERCP.

I am very concerned...Just received my CT scan of abdomen/pelvis from Friday.

I have had 9 abd. surgeries for adhesions since 1970. I am now 52 yr. old woman.

Anyway, the results from the CT scan said: "Dilated biliary tree and enlargement of the head of the pancreas out of proportion to the body and tail. The differential diagnosis must include pancreatic neoplasm and focal inflammation of the head of the pancreas." "ERCP may be warranted for further evaluation" "Small intrarenal calculus on the right" I'm really scared...I looked on the net and everything I found regarding the pancreas is cancer related. I will be having the ERCP test done to take biopsies etc. of pancreas. Does anyone have any light to shed or experience with this diagnosis? I appreciate all help. Thank you. Linda
