Re: Preparing Myself for the Possible Return of Obstruction

I have one total and two partial obstructions in the past three years. None were adhesion related although the last one was thought to be at first. I have found two things are helpfull with this condition:

1. Eating a soft, mushy diet. No meat, fruit, or vegetables, nuts, popcorn, or anything containing seeds or anything that won't turn soft and mushy in your stomach. 2. Using hyoscamine sulfate or levisin tablets .125 mg when I feel the cramping and nausea coming on. This often suppresses the symptoms for 4 hours.

These things may not work for you but they can't help.
