Thank you for reminding me yet again, that I am not alone.I have tried
to quit several times over the years. I have tried the patch, zyban &
cold turkey, cutting back slowly. The longest I was smoke free was 5
days. It helps that I have a better reason this time. Right now, I am
cutting back. My husband said if we go to PA, then when we leave, we
will leave the smokes behind & both quit. Then we can be cranky &
irriatable together. At least I know that I have his support. How are
you doing with your quitting?? I usually always have 97-98% oxygen level
when I have been checked. I guess though if quiting is the only way to
have surgery, then I will have to do it. I try to tell people,
especially teen agers, that my Mom told me when I was their age, that
one day I would want to quit & wouldnt be able to. Of course behind her
back I laughted at her. But here I am 20+ years later, still smoking &
wishing I had never started. I have a love/hate relationship with
cigarettes. Thank you for your support.
