Dear Teresa, I have been on pain meds for many years and have the bowel problem licked. I go to my herbologist who makes me up a batch of awful tasting powder which I mix with water whenever I feel the need. I take no fiber substances and eat lots of salads and veggies with lots of water. If the stool is still hard I have to use a glove to assist. It is so easy and there is no straining. The straining is the worst thing that you can do with adhesions. Good luck. Joanne
