Hello everyone:
There seemed to be a question as to where are all the members that have
had surgery with the famous doctors (Reich & Redan) so I thought I'd
write in and let you know that my quality of life has certainly
increased. The surgery has allowed me to lead a pretty normal life
(going back to work, running my children to practices, games, etc.; all
those things I once couldn't do with adhesions) which is why one doesn't
hear much from me, although I do check in here and e-mail those I think
I can help with any problems that were similar to mine. I think Helen
and Bev do such a wonderful job here at the site, and are much more
qualified than I to help those that are still suffering from this
horrible disease, that I pretty much stay a silent reader. I still
suffer some pain but don't attribute it to adhesions but more to the
hysterectomy itself which I had in Dec. '99. I describe it as being in
a car wreck, being put back together, but never being the same person I
once was. I still see a pain specialist as we cannot find the source of
the pain, but perhaps with time and therapy it will work its way out.
I pray that those of you still seeking relief from this disease find
your way to a wonderful doctor that can help you.
I will never, never stop coming to this site, as it saved my life;
therefore, I will always be here to help in anyway I can.
Helen Chalmers
