slow moving intestines

Recently through tests, they found out that my small intestines were moving too slowly, actually hardly moving at all. That caused worse constipation & worse pain. My doctor prescribed Metoclopranide 10mg. I am suppose to take it 30 mins before each meal & before bedtime 4 times a day, but it made me too sleepy, so I only take it 2 times a day & it helps a great deal. I actually have bowel movements with out stimulies. One of the bigest benifites I have found from this med, is it makes my small intestines work & it has greatly reduced my pain in the process. I have actually cooked dinner 2 times this week & have done some cleaning. It things keep going this way, on Sat it will be one week with reduced pain. I still am using my duragesic patch & my vicodin, but they are controling my pain. I have cut down a little on my vicodin use, which is also helping my constipation. The other day, I told my husband that he should be proud of me because I went poop all by myself (LOL) This is something you might consider looking into to see if it might help. I am happy that Jaynie is home recoperating from her surgery. I hope she has a fast recooperation & will soon be pain free. Robin
