Adhesions sufferers learn to protect themselves - don't do anything because it will cause pain, i.e.; if I lift that laundry basket, walk the grocery store, lift those bags, vacuum, I am going to pay dearly for this later. In answer to your question, the more you do the more pain you will go into and not right at that time, but later after you almost think you have gotten away with living a normal life it will hit you with a bang. I cannot live my life without having to do the normal day to day activities, therefore, I must stay on pain medication to get me through an almost normal day. If I were not medicated I would be in bed afraid to move because of the amount of pain I knew I would go into. Hope I didn't confuse you, but yes, lift one box - some pain, lift 10 boxes - get ready for the ER.

Love,
