Hi Janet:
My experience with Ultram is similar to yours. It made me feel "good",
the pain was still there but it was if I didn't care about it. Very
strange. I think it works on serotonin levels which probably accounts
for the mood elevation. It can give you a headache, upset stomach and
also can make your heart race.
