Gail--Is this therapy by a physical therapist who specializes in pelvic
floor rehabilitation?
I did that. Or is it a regular physical therapist? I did that, too. I did
feel a bit better, but the amount of time and attention that it took for
small gains eventually discouraged me. I have a lot of curiosity about the
physical therapy approach, though. What I want to know...and perhaps you
can ask your therapist this question....is "Where is the scientific proof
that the therapy actually alters (stretches) the adhesions?" I really want
to see the research articles that support what they are doing. When I review
the video tape of the doctor cutting through my adhesions during my recent
surgery....it makes NO sense to me that any amount of physical therapy could
have reall made an impact on those adhesions, given the location and the
density.
Always curious, Mary
