Hi! Toni I am glad to hear a Dr. admitted that you had pain! It must have felt good to here those words. I have been on Previcid for about 3 yrs. for GERD but I stopped taking it a couple weeks ago because I have been on it for so long and I began to wonder if maybe that it was absorbing to much acid and maybe that is why I can't digest food. I don't know but I am just giving it a try to see! I know exactly what you are talking about with the pain on the left side cause I was at the hospital ER last week cause I was doubled over with severe pain and I felt so full and terrible sick to my stomach. They said that I was backed up all the way up! I know it does sound disgusting. This is the 2x in 6 months. That is the reason I am scared to eat anything and I am really afraid of getting dependent on Lax. But I don't know what I should do to keep the bowels moving and not get stopped up! I can relate about giving up on them because I am so angry at all of them right now that until there is a med. Emergency I'm not going back. I also get really mad because I am 33 yrs. old and have the Medical problems of a 70 or 80 yr. old women. Well I'm sorry to sound all gloom&doom I am just tired of all this it seems to consume my whole life! Well hang in there! Big Pain-Free Hugs!
