Kel, After all the loving responses I got to my pity party, I feel it is my turn to share something. What you are facing is the unknown and the unknown scares us. But you know that this surgery is going to give you relief, and if that relief is only for a short time, it is still a relief and something to be thankful for. I found this poem among some of my things and it made me think it may help you:

Don't Quit

When things go wrong As they sometimes will When the road you're trudging Seems all uphill When the funds are low And the debts are high And you want to smile But have to sigh When care is pressing you Down a bit-Rest if you must but Don't You Quit. Life is queer with its twists and turns As everyone of us sometimes learns And many a failure turns about When you might have won Had you stuck it out. Don't give up Though the pace seems slow, You may succeed with another blow. Success is failure turned inside out- The silver tint Of the clouds of doubt. And you never can tell How close you are It may be near when it seems so far. So stick to the fight When you're hardest hit... It's when things seem worst that You Must Not Quit.

Just get through today, one hour, one minute, one second at a time and if you need holler out for one of us to come to your side and encourage you because as I've found out, there are lots of us with big shoulders and lots of kleenex!!

**HUGS** Love, Missy
