Dear Kelly:
I had a laparotomy in July 2000 with a very large vertical incision. The doctor did not remove the adhesions, she only drained a peritoneal cyst which filled up again in 2 weeks. I then had a laparoscopy in Scranton by Dr. Redan in November 2000, and he took 2 1/2 hours and removed the cyst, lysed all of the adhesions which included freeing my right ovary and tube which were encapsulated by the cyst of adhesions, separated the bowel, bladder, uterus and pelvic wall. My pain was still there after the July surgery and was gone after the Scranton surgery.
