Dear Eileen,
go http://www.adlap.com for the info on the Scarnton Drs. I went to Dr Gerhart's
site because he has a questonnaire for you to fill out. Then he will review
it, call you and it goes from there.
I saw 2 of my Drs yesterday, pain clinic and GI and was basically told that I
can either stay like this or go for the surgery, and that I would not be able
to find a surgeon here to do it, and if I did, they would not be as
aggressive. So, that gave me my answer.
I do feel blessed that my Drs here are willing to listen and not dismiss me
as a mental case or drug seeker.
Just know that you are not alone. I hope you feel better. One thing that
always helps me is a hot bath and I got this aromatherpy stuff called
batherapy from the drugstore and soak in the tub with a good book. I don't
know if it's the heat, the rest, or the book that takes my mind off the
pain, but somehow that soothes me.
