Neurontin--for Kel and Karla

Dear Kel and Karla,

I take 200 mg of Neurontin 3 times a day. I also take Amitriptyline 50mg (Elavil) at bedtime. I can take 2 of the Elavil if I want to. I go to see the pain specialist tomorrow. He told me if they were working well for me then he would increase the doseage. He wanted to make sure that I didn't break out in hives or have itching from either of them. I haven't had any problems with either of them. I guess I will know tomorrow if he decides to increase the doseage of them. I still have pain but it is very manageable. I have only had a couple of bad days since being on the medicine. Sometimes though they make me very sleepy. I am afraid to lay down because I know they will knock me out for a long time. So I just make sure I keep myself up so I cn enjoy everything. I do feel like I am getting my life back. I worked in the yard all day Saturday. It felt great! I did get sunburned though on my shoulders. I am walking now anywhere from 2.5 to 4 miles a day. It feels great to be doing all the things I have wanted to do and love to do again. I hope one day soon we can all be pain free.

Love, Jenny
