INTERNATIONAL ADHESIONS SOCIETY...MESSAGE BOARD

http://www.adhesions.org/forums/listcmds.htm

The Adhesions Message Board is open to all subscribers worldwide. It has been created for men, women, their family members, physicians and medical providers to discuss topics related to their emotional and physical health and their well-being.

These topics include -- but are not limited to -- the exchange of ideas, personal experiences, referrals, product recommendations, procedures, support groups, books, and publications; and also a chance to ask medical questions of our participating medical professionals [ SEE DISCLAIMER ].

This forum is intended to be supportive, interesting, and fun. It is unmoderated, which means your posts do not have to be approved first before inclusion.

This page explains how you can subscribe to the Adhesions Message Board. If you subscribe to the forum, you will receive all messages posted to the forum as Email. You can also post to the forum using your Email.

Note: The commands with an asterisk (*) indicate that the email address must be exactly the same one used to originally subscribe. If you get back a response stating that you are not registered on the list then issue a "review subscribers" command to see exactly how your email address is registered with the system. To change your email address: do an "unsubscribe" (using the old Email address) followed by a new "subscribe" (using the new Email address).

GUIDELINES FOR ADHESIONS

ADHESIONS is a list for discussion of topics of interest to women and their health.

ADHESIONS does not accept advertisements. Questions and discussions initiated by ADHESIONS subscribers about products and services ARE appropriate. This provides an avenue for help, hints and recommendations among the colleagues on this list.

PLEASE!!! DO NOT FLAME EACH OTHER ON THE LIST. There is a difference between healthy disagreement and downright nastiness (We can't define it, but we know it when I see it). If you have an opinion for someone send it directly to them. People subscribed to the list may lose interest if this becomes a problem. WE WILL and HAVE removed people from the list for this offense.

GUIDELINES FOR MESSAGES:

1. Always use a descriptive subject line.

2. Always sign your postings. Include your name, your e-mail address and your institutional affiliation. But don't go overboard.

3. Do not send encoded documents to the list. Ascii text only, please. 4. Please try to keep the "chaff" - the messages that don't need to be sent to the entire list - to a minimum. These should be sent directly to the offerer. If you are unsure how to direct your reply to the individual instead of the list, check with your local e-mail system administrators. You may have to create a fresh message rather than using a reply function. (Remember that ADHESIONS is configured so that replies are sent to the entire list, not just the individual who posted the message.) To determine whether something should be sent to the entire list, ask yourself "Does this only involve one person, or will many ADHESIONS readers likely be interested in my message?".

5. When sending a reply to the list, DO NOT INCLUDE THE ENTIRE PREVIOUS MESSAGE. Extract any relevant portions, if necessary.

6. Keep your postings within the scope of the list.

7. Absolutely NO Profanity will be tolerated

WARNING:

This forum is international and freely available to anyone with access to a computer. For your own protection, consider this in posting to the list.
