Dear Cheryl, I have used the TENS unit in conjunction with physical therapy. It did help my muscular pain, which we now know has been from protective posturing due to the adhesion pain. So, in other words, it did help some. I say try everything. That's the onlt way you will find what works for you. I have finally opted for surgery in Scranton because my Drs here in Florida also said to wait for obstruction before more surgery. I, like you, did not feel comfortable with that response. I go on the 24th and can't wait to get relief and off meds. But then I have to start PT all over to deal with the muscular issues this has all caused. I hope this helped. And I hope you feel better. Love, KellyD
