Dear, wonderful Sally,

I have been sending my doctor the articles that our ever vigilant Helen D. puts on this site for us. I haven't had a visit with her yet, but I sent more out today!!!! For all I know, I may be looking for a new primary care doctor soon if she doesn't take the articles in the spirit they were intended.

I went to one of the pain management sites and got some referrals. One is in town, two are for places 3-4 hours away. The one in town isn't on my insurance. I do have another referral from someone else on the board and after my surgery, I'll look them up if things don';t settle down after a couple of weeks.

My problem is that I think my doctor does think it is all in my head as I've had some emotional problems relating to previous abuse (not drug abuse, someone abusing me). She won't admit it, so I'm hoping this laparoscopy by a doctor she respects will change her tune.

Thanks for your good, warm thoughts.....they are being sent back to you with a gentle hug!
