Helen C., I totally agree that MEDIA is allot of the worlds problems now-a-days, putting ideas in people's heads on things they wouldn't have even known or thought of before!!! Look at the school shootings....you have one publicized and all of a sudden several more in the same week! Jean . . .

This is very disturbing to say the least that the chronic pain patient must pay for the misuse of this drug by those looking to get a "HIGH" from it. Those on this dosage, must be in such severe pain, and now they are left to pay the price. The news coverage of Oxycontin, I believe, has only made the epidemic of abuse worse, as the more it is publicized that this drug produces a wonderful "HIGH", the more the kids want it.
