Helen D.. Well....you sure got me to laughing out loud on this terrible pain day!!!!! Re-booting is shutting down and re-starting your computer (LOL). Oooooh...lime green sounds pretty!

Make life easier.....keep your resolution at the one you prefer over-all and change the text size in your email or posting board the way I said then you don't have to keep changing the resolution. JEAN

No, Jean, I am not trying to take your job! You are the expert...not me!!

I remember the very first time that I made the change to 800x600 High Color, I thought I had wrecked our computer...until the change was complete. ( Scarey, when a person is as ignorant about the computer as I am!!) I don't even remember how I learned how to do that.

Since you mentioned that you have yours set at 1024 x 768 High Color, I decided to see what that would be like on our computer. NOT GOOD!! The tan background behind the list of topics on the left (under the picture of "the curtains blowing in the wind") turned to a lime green and the size of the letters became much smaller.

When I first turn on the computer, I use 640x480 High Color ( to read email, etc.); but when I am on the Message Board, I have to switch from 640x480 High Color to 800x600 High Color. If I don't, I have to use the sliding bar in order to read messages.

You said: "By the way, you are usually suppose to re-boot after you change the resolution." I guess I must be "unusual" because I NEVER "re-boot"...whatever that means.

With my graphic designing I must have a specific resolution or my printer doesn't match the colors I see on my monitor.
