Hi, I just found this site and need some advice from you all. I
recently found out that I have to have a laporatomy due to ovarian mass
(possible cancer) and is complicated due to adhesions involving my
ovary, bowels and bladder. I am in constant pain, bloating, and am so
tired all the time. I had 2 c-sections, 3 d&c's, 1 laparomoty for
appendix, 1 laparotomy for hysterectomy, 1 laparoscopy, and gallbladder
removed in the past 15 years. I am 36 years old and have never heard of
adhesions until this doctor mentioned them to me and said I would quite
likely be in the ICU after this operation. I was wondering if anyone
can tell me how serious adhesions can be, will this operation "fix" the
problem with them or will it just occur again. I am feeling frightened
and I really need someone who can relate to advice me as to what to
expect with this.
