So glad to hear you are on your road to recovery! Isn't the staff the best at the hospital? They will take great care of you. I stayed the night at CMC also and was so happy that I did. I don't think I could have made it sleeping in the hotel bed the first night. The second night was bad enough, but thanks to my ever loving husband, he took the other bed, as to make sure he didn't accidentally roll over on me or "snore" too loud!! lol, I am happy to hear you did well during surgery.
It's great to have "nurse" Mom around! My parents came home with me, or shall I say they came home the day before I did, and stayed for about 4 days and helped with my household chores, much to my delight, I keep asking her when is she coming back to do more? lol
Stay well and please don't over do it. When is your return trip home? Best of luck on your airplane ride home also, hope you don't have to squeeze in between too many people either, like getting the middle seat would really stink, wouldn't it?
Get a lot of rest and be kind to yourself and your body.
