My ESR

The only symptom I've had -- in addition to the chronic pain -- is an elevated blood sedimentation rate ( ESR ). Normal ESR is in the 20's and lower 30's. My ESR has consistently been in the mid-80's!!!

It has always bothered me that not one doctor has every expressed any concern about this high reading...even at the Mayo Clinic!!! If the ESR doesn't mean anything, then why do they even bother checking it...and spending my money, Medicare's money, and my supplementary insurance company's money.

Doctors have told me that the ESR test is a non-specific test!! The ESR test actually indicates that there is inflammation!!! What is more inflammation-producing than adhesions!!!!
