I had a colostomy reversal January 2000. I am very happy that I did so, although I do have a run of bad days and nights. I was told to drink lots and lots of water to be sure I could flush out my body. I lost a lot of my colon during five surgeries. No it was not cancer, but I do have a lot of adhesions and I suffer from blockages if I am not careful about drinking my fluids and avoiding nasty things like fresh vegetables, I am headed straight for the ER. I was also told to eat small meals several times a day-which I must say is very difficult for me-I do like to eat!

Earlier today I posted an internet address for an ostomy association and its list. I will send the address on a separate post.

Peace and Love, Cathy Barnes
