Ginny, According to my OR Report from my surgery in May my bowel was attached to my pelvic wall on the left side. I think it must have also been pressing on my bladder because I no longer have the leaking of my bladder. I also can completely empty the bladder now and couldn't before. Before the surgery I had to keep the steady stream with bearing down when I went or if I relaxed the muscles at all it would shut off and I couldn't start it again. I couldn't go when I was on the toilet before but when I would get up it would run down my leg?! I could only empty it after just getting up from laying down over night which makes sense to me that it had something pushing on it when I was upright.

Ditropan also helps the bladder spasms......I was on that many years ago. If it doesn't go into spasms maybe it won't leak as much. JEAN

Quote of the day: Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow. Don't walk behind me, I may not lead. "Walk beside me and be my friend."

Hi Karla

You know, for as bright as I thought I was, and as well read on this damn disease as I am, you just brought up a point I had not even thought about. Maybe the adhesions are now squeezing my bladder or wrapped around it so tightly that it isn't able to fill completely without leaking. My goodness. It's amazing how the obvious can hide from us.

I thank you from the bottom of my bladder for bringing this to light. I am not looking for more surgery. 16 major ops are quite sufficient. But if I do not find relief from this queer problem soon, I guess a trip to someone who knows adhesions is in order

love to you!

Ginny
