Please check out the below websites in order to find a pain specialist in your area. Karen, the best doctors to contact are those listed under compassionate doctors page, as they can be contacted directly and no need for a pain rep. to be involved, although some are very good and can give you sound advice. Please read through the ASAP website
<A HREF="http://www.widomaker.com/~skipb/panic.html">http://www.widomaker.com/~skipb/panic.html</A>
as it is very informative and gives you ammunition to take to a doctor in
order to get pain medication for chronic pain. Most all of the pain
specialists listed will require medicals that mention you have been
complaining of chronic pain and a referral from any physician that you have
been seeing. Some doctors will even give you a hard time about giving you a
referral. If you have any problems getting a referral, please contact me and
I can help direct you in succeeding in getting a referral.
