Karla: We do seem like kindred spirits don't we. We both indeed have very big decisions to make regarding these surgeries. What a dilema the medical profession puts us in, either we risk loss of life by not having the surgery or we risk loss of life by having the surgery. Sometimes, I can just sit and cry at the feeling of living with this 'timebomb' or a medical condition! This would be my recomendation to you and will help us both....We meet each other face to face, rent a place on the beach somewhere for a week and just talk about this and what we really want to do in regards to surgery. If I were closer, I would give you a big hug and tell you that everything is going to be alright and that we will both get through this and this one last surgery will leave us both pain free forever! I attribute trying to make the right decision surgically as a game of russian roulette, you never know what the outcome is going to be. I hate the thought of having just gotten married on May 4th to the perfect man for me, and having to leave him through no fault of my own. I hate the thoughts of never seeing my kids grow old and that the risky surgery was the worst and final decision that I made! Believe me, I am so sympathetic to your situation!

The only words that I can offer you is be extremely cautious with what your willing to put yourself through, and my guess is you already have! My only other one would be to lean on everyone in here, especially me as to maybe someone knowing something that has not been done yet, or a medication, or anything. I will always be available to talk to and will now hold a special place because we have so much in common! My prayers and every positive thought I can think of will send your way in hopes that you will be the 'miracle' person that recieves a 'cure' for this! Your friend, Kris
