Oh, you've brought me fond memories of drinking strawberry-flavored chalk. <G>

Even before I had adhesions, barium gave me fits. There isn't anything you can do expect wait for it to move through you. Walking may help, as may all the other stuff we've posted about how to get relief from constipation. If none of those hints from before help, and you can't tolerate enemas, then all there is left is to wait.

I decided after my last upper and lower GI that I will NEVER have them again. They don't tell you a thing with regard to adhesions. Too, if you have IBS or some other bowel problem (diverticulitis, e.g.) the treatment is about the same -- bland diet, no food with seeds etc. So the doctors can keep their radioactive, strawberry-flavored chalk as far as I am concerned, thankyouverymuch.
