I have only been on this list for a few days and feel like I have met some wonderful people who are willing to share their stories and offer help to understand dealing with adhesions.
I am scheduled for a lap surgery, possible, major surgery this Monday morning at 9 a.m. This will be my fifth surgery for lysis of adhesions. There is a bit more concern from my surgeon this time because the colon was full of adhesions when he operated last August. Now, from my barium enema x-ray I had done two weeks, I am showing signs of diverticulitis. So, tommorrow night before surgery, I have to take an enema to clean out my colon in case I am having major surgery.
Naturally, I will not know until I wake up in recovery whether or not I have been cut open.
So, what I am asking for? Your thoughts and prayers to guide my surgeon, and for my quick recovery and some relief from the constant pain caused by adhesions.
I will be back on line as soon as I can after surgery to let you all know what happened during surgery.
