Yes, Susan, adhesions can attach to the diaphragm. Not only did you have surgery in that area, which is a trauma (and cause of adhesions) to the body; but also the surgeons may not have meticulously cleaned up every minute particle of blood resulting from the surgery. ANY and ALL blood left in the abdominal/pelvic cavity IS a cause of adhesions!!

I know someone, whose diaphragm was attached to her stomach with her bowel trapped between. She may (and may not) be willing to share her experience. If you want to know more about her experience, let me know and I will try to contact her for you.
