Kathy, read your e-mail...Helen supplied this to us a while back-I found some of this helpful....I had also recalled a story she sent about a man who decided to "starve" himself for a couple days and drink lots of water...he said he was passing gas within two days... I am different than most, as I have found 20 gms of fiber a day is the daily intake...even before my adhesion I wasn't meeting the national daily dosage...did this cause my breakdown to begin with?.. I thought to myself...they say the key to regulating the bowels is fiber...a supplement or something...I don't know if this is the key for me...but, being new to these problems I've chosen to start with the basic function and requirements for the bowel. I, too had a partial obstruction...and I have found some relief...but, we are all so different...hope this helps. Love, Marianne
