Toni---I don't believe that either...vomiting with a blockage is the worst extreme of blockage...it hits that point once not treated. So, technically, you could have a partial blockage and not be vomiting all the time...from personal experience. It started with feeling nauseua...after months of not treating...I hit the point of vomiting...hope this helps. I feel I can tell when there's a partial obstruction...and the stool can appear to be very stringy when you do have bowel movements...as they have to be small to pass the obstruction. Just my experience. Pursue a doctor who will run GI tests to rule out all other possibilities...don't wait...if it's adhesions...then you'll get stuck with any doctor, when/if it comes down to an emergency...again,,,just more "thoughts".
