Millie, Anesthesia causes it. I think hormones can also affect it, but this can always be checked.....they do have blood-tests to check your hormone levels. I think it was most likely the anesthesia since your surgery also was only a few months ago. Medication also can affect your hair.

I also did people's hair for many years, color, perms, cuts, curling, styling (LOL)!..... until Carpal Tunnel did that in. I do still do my own hair-cuts but can't keep hands up long enough for the perms anymore. Never went to school for that either (artist in me I guess). I just keep changing occupations as body parts fail! I'll soon be looking for a job licking stamps I guess (LOL)!!! JEAN

Jean, A few months ago I had a perm, but it didn't take worth beans, unless it has something to do with the hyst. Is it possible that a drop in hormones could cause it? My hair tangles terribly, and there isn't much to tangle. I'm all forehead, to top it off. Millie
