No, I don't know much about the chairs history, but, I'll ask to see if his mother knows. And about your grand-daughter...my neice is like that...she was called "princess" all the time...sometimes I think that she believes she is. Times change quick. Working at a high school...I can tell you kids are not the same in school, as it was 14 years ago. Kids learn alot of humility when they start school. They realize that in order to be special they have to "show" special. I love the age of five though. It's hard not to call them "cutey" and "precious" all the time...My favorite ages 3-7yrs. old.
