Hello Cindy:
Welcome to the adhesions site. You will find loads of information and a
whole lot of support and understanding here, maybe even some guidance.
Some of us have suffered from partial bowel obstructions, some from
complete obstructions. Some have colitis, some endometriosis, some
Chron's, but we all to one extent or another have adhesions and all of the
side effects of that, along with the chronic unremittant pain. Some of us
have been able to find drug therapy for pain control, some have found
partial or even total relief from the pain through surgery. Some of us are
still waiting, hoping, and praying for some semblance of a "normal" life,
which we have lost to one extent or another through "chronic non-malignant
pelvic pain" and our doctors' inability or unwillingness to treat us or
help us find treatment.
Please feel free to browse through the links on the IAS web page and print
out any information you find that you think may be helpful to you in
getting your doctors to listen. Most all members of the forum have posted
their stories on the Adhesions Quilt, and you are welcome to add yours
there too.
We will do our best to answer any questions you may have, offer solutions
based on what has worked or not worked for us, listen when you want to rant
rave and cry, or just be here for you.
I hope this is a good day for you.
