Dear Claudia Last year, I was on the Duragesic patch 75 & vicodin 10mg (aprox 10 a day) & Equgesic pills. I was still able to function with that amount of pain meds & it kept 90% of the pain away. Sometimes, it will take a combination of meds to get the pain under control. Just talk to your DR & tell him you expeirmented with the meds & found a combination that works. robin
