Dear John,

As a parent I can hear your anguish in the message you have posted on the board. I was pleased to read that your son has not allowed his medical problems to interfere with his life i.e: quote "He is >very athletic; runs cross country, plays soccer and is a weight lifter."

If he has had surgery, then adhesions could be a possibility. The only real way to be sure if adhesions are involved is for a diagnostic laporoscopy, the surgeon would use a small camera to look inside his abdominal cavity. Helen Dynda, or Dr Wiseman would be the two best people I can think of to help you find a doctor in your area. I live in Australia, and so I cannot recommend anyone to you myself.

My best wishes to you and your son, his athletic ability is to his credit and yours.

Kibd Regards, Jo (Australia)
