Rose- Myleogram

Rose, How long ago did you have your Myleogram? He said they improved it, sure hope so! He didn't say anything about a headache. My husband said someone he works with said you "can'" lay down now or you will get a headache. It is now water based instead of oil-based as it use to be. The doctor said they use to have to take it back out but with the water-based they don't have to. I don't even have to stay in the hospital overnight this time. It is an in and out procedure now. You don't have to stay laying flat for 24 hours anymore.

12 years ago when I had it done I felt like my back was exploding!! That is also one of the reasons the pain doctor put me back on Oxycontin, to try to help me through these tests.

It is the Neurologist who is doing the Myleogram but the Pain doctor does the Diskogram. I don't know yet who does the EMG.

What was wrong with your back and what kind of surgery did they do for it? Did yours show on an MRI or plain X-rays? Did it help? Did you also have allot of butt, hip & leg pain?

I often think of relocating to warmer climate but with my husband's employment, my business (what's left of it) and our real-estate rental properties we have too many commitments to consider. JEAN

Jean,

I also hate cold weather! It makes your muscles tense and makes the pain worse. Unfortunatley, my husband would like live up north and I'd like to live in the hot dry desert....so here we are still in Missouri ;-)

I had a mylegram before my back surgery, did he warn you about the bad headache most people (including me) get afterwards? Well, it sounds like he'll help with that too. You're so lucky!

Good luck, kcmo rose
