I forgot to add that I was in isolation for the 2 weeks following my
infected abdominal incision and no-one could come near me without
washing hands before & afterward and also wearing a gown.
When this infection was detected I had a temperature of 107 and I was
packed in ice.
I also was treated last year for a different infection, however this one
was of the hip bone (bone infection) and that requires intravenous
antibiotics for 6 weeks.
