"Temporary assistance for workers affected by the economic downturn: Individuals are eligible if they lose their job after September 11, 2001, have had health insurance in the last six months, and are eligible for COBRA. Individuals and their families may receive premium assistance for up to 12 months. All benefits would end no later than March 31, 2003, regardless of how long a worker has been covered."
