I found curtains that were a quilt design, patches of old fashioned fabric sewn together like a quilt, all silk and light and airy and really old, with a sheer backing. I'd never seen anything like it. They were also unfinished so were never used. We put blanket bindings around then with fabric tape and they are really neat. They fit into the room perfectly. None of the fabric is less than 80 years old (just a guess, but I bet its pretty close). Cloth changes through the years as does everything.
