Unnecessary surgery anyone?

I've seen estimates that approx 50% of c-sections are unnecessary. And
75% of hysterectomies. The only abdominal surgery I've ever had was my
c-section, which was of fairly dubious necessity. So how many other
people here got adhesions from an unnecessary operation?
That's one of the things that makes me really mad... I mean it would be
one thing if the c-section had saved my baby's life. And if you had
appendicitis or cancer or fibroids or cysts doing something nasty and
they NEEDED to come out, well, ok ending up with adhesions is rotten
luck, but when the alternative was dying, at least you don't have the
insult to add to your injury!
