Hi Deb,

Interesting question! I have been trying to get answers about this too. I had a large ovary remnant cyst just a little while ago that grew large enough to make walking almost impossible, I was on enormous amounts of medication, just so I could breath! It was drained and I was put on a higher dose of HRT to stop this small "bit" of an ovary from trying to ovulate. Apparently the pertruitry gland (sorry about spelling) will try to stimulate this remnant to ovulate by putting out extra stumulis (hormones)....anyway, I am still "fiddling" with doeses & different brands to try and get the balance right.

If the HRT is providing the right amount of "hormones" then this remnant (so I have been told by my gyn) will stay dormant....but I really wonder about that.....

If you get some real answers, I would appreciate you sharing it with me & others here on the board :-)

Love & gentle warm hugs,

Jo (Australia)
