Hi Susan,

I suffer from that too. Ever since I had my gallbladder removed it's been causing me a lot of agony. In the beginning nobody wanted to believe me. My surgeon even cut the muscle of my bile duct twice - to see if the pain would stop. But it did not - in fact it made it worse. Often it feels like someone is stabbing me with a hot knife right under my right breast, and I can feel it right through into my back - often it feels very hot to the touch too.

The only thing that gives me some relief apart from pain killers is using a hottie (a hot water bottle) or a wheat pack - and I also have a TENS machine - I stick the electrodes on the sore spot and sit or lie back - I alter the tingling - it's very effective for me - it gives me another kind of sensation to concentrate on.

Hope you get some relief,

Your fellow sufferer,
