Chrissy, I have had the same problem with the stuff they make you drink. before my 3rd and 4th surgery they had me try Magnesium Citrate. This is a oral solution you can get at the drug store. The only problem is you will never drink a Sprite again. I had to drink 2 bottles but it's only 10 oz. each. Much better thatn the gallon of the other stuff. Keep it in mind. Karen
