As you will no doubt hear from many others on this board, a hysterectomy will NOT prevent adhesions from forming. In many cases, a hysterectomy has been the cause of adhesions.
Although I am sorry you have joined us here, I welcome you to your sanity and education on the subject of adhesions. Your doctor is wrong about adhesions causing pain. They will form on any structure in the abdomen, and will cause pain by pulling on whatever they attach to.
