Evetta,

You make this statement: " Right now nothing can be worse than what i am feeling right now." I understand how you are feeling, but I beg that you visit the quilt and read my story. My name is Karla Nygren. Yes, there are lots of things that can be worse than what you are feeling right now. At this very moment I am suffering with something which might be leading to another shutdown of my kidneys. Pain is an awful thing to deal with but all to often our attempts to alleviate the pain lead to much more extensive problems.

I don't post much on the board anymore for several reasons. First, because every day is spent struggling to stay alive and I have to save my energy for myself to be honest. Trying to convince people that more surgery is not the answer takes so much out of me and it is very frustrating when they refuse to listen. I am not condemning people for not listening...I walked that same road..it was probably too late for me even at that point, but I still refused to listen. My doctors knew more than my friends on this list or so I thought. Unfortunately, I found out differently. Now all I have are these wonderful friends from this list because my doctors have deserted me, leaving me to die. That brings one of the more important reasons for my lack of participation on this board. Basically all I have left in life is to work as hard as I can to prevent people from making my mistakes. This work gives my life value. But, to me it loses that value when people fail to heed my attempts to help. I don't want others to die from this disorder. My question to you and to others is: Will you listen? Even if to just read my story.

> --- > Hi Julie, I've had numerous surgeries in the past 7 years. I was shot in the abdomen in March 1994. A month later, I had my appendix removed. After the birth of my son in 1999, I had a tubal. For years I was told I was just having "female pain". I went to see a specialist who did a number of ultrasounds, and found that my uterus was tilted to the left "my source of pain". And he took into account my past medical history, and the ultrasounds I had done, and recommended that I have a diagnostic laproscopy. Even though I have heard from others who have suffered with this condition, that my pain may or may not go away, I've decided to give it a try. Right now nothing can be worse than what i am feeling right now. > > > > >> --- > >> MS.Evetta L. Gregory > >> > >> On Wed, 30 Jan 2002 20:31:07 > >> Hello.
