Going from doctor to doctor

Dear Em,

It is hard to know where to turn with this pain isn't it? All of us understand you being willing to go any where to find relief from the never ending torture and interuption that our pain causes.

The common thread that I have discovered throughout my twelve months association to this site is the dangerous path many of us take, that path is to seek our and constantly search for new doctors until one is found who is willing to do another surgery, the one that this time just might cure our pain.

Em, my advice to you is to take care, reaearch and ask questions here and any other sourse you can find. Many say that pain clinics are the answer, and I understand from comments I have read here on the board, the care and quality of these clinics varies considerably from one to another.

I have grown up with pain Em, and over the years I have through experimentation and without true awareness of what I was doing, found different ways to live and control the impact pain has on my life.

I invite you to visit http://www.bombobeach.com where I have a section called "How to cope" hopefully there you will find something that you will be able to use to help you deal with pain until you find the right pain clinic to help you.

I believe that adhesions sufferers really need a combination of diversional therapies and pain medication. I am praying that the hysteria that surrounds oxycontin in the USA ebates and sensibility kicks in and your government and officials recognise that there are many people who have a genuine need and use for this pain medication.

Please feel free to ask me any questions, I am happy to help you in any way I can.

Love & gentle hugs, Jo Eslick http://www.bombobeach.com

P.S. I'm not a doctor or medical person, just a fellow
adhesions sufferer who really wants better treatment
for us all.
